Job summary

Jobot seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in Workers' Compensation to join our law firm serving clients across the Carolinas and Georgia. You will handle complex cases, provide strong advocacy, and collaborate with a dedicated team in a flexible hybrid environment.

The ideal candidate has a JD, active NC Bar status, and at least two years of workers' compensation experience with an insurance defense focus. Expect opportunities for growth and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

JD degree from an accredited law school.
Active NC State Bar admission in good standing.
Minimum 2 years of workers' compensation experience, insurance defense focus.
Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws and procedures.
Proven ability to manage a large caseload, meet deadlines, and negotiate effectively.
Excellent research, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Represent clients in all aspects of workers' compensation cases from intake to resolution.
Conduct case research, gather evidence, and develop litigation strategies.
Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements.
Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
Present cases at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
Stay updated on laws and trends related to workers' compensation and insurance defense.
Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality client service.
