Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a detail-oriented Workers’ Compensation Specialist to manage the administrative operations of the internal workers’ compensation program in Downtown Atlanta. This on-site, non-attorney role serves as the liaison between injured employees, internal legal counsel, TPAs, safety personnel, and medical providers to ensure efficient claim resolution.

The position is a temporary assignment in Downtown, with parking expenses covered.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in workers’ compensation administration or related field.
• Experience managing claims, reporting and liaison with TPAs and legal counsel is preferred.
• High School diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Case Intake & Tracking: log and process initial workplace injury reports and maintain claim records.
• Claims Administration: coordinate with TPAs and carriers to monitor status and benefits.
• Cross-Department Liaison: provide updates to legal, HR, safety, and supervisors while protecting privacy.
• Medical & Legal Documentation: gather reports and organize materials for defense attorneys when litigated.
• Return-to-Work Coordination: facilitate modified duties based on medical restrictions.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Workers’ Compensation Specialist!In this non-attorney support role, you will manage the administrative operations of the internal workers’ compensation program. You will serve as the primary operational liaison between injured employees, internal legal counsel, third-party claims administrators (TPAs), safety personnel, and medical providers to ensure efficient, compliant, and empathetic claim resolution. This is a temporary assignment working in Downtown, Atlanta. Parking expenses are covered by the client and this role is working 100% on site.

salary: $24 - $28.88 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

• Case Intake & Tracking: Receive, log, and process initial reports of workplace injuries. Maintain accurate records of all active and historical workers’ compensation claims.
• Claims Administration: Coordinate directly with the company's Third-Party Administrator (TPA) and insurance carriers to monitor claim status, wage replacement benefits, and medical authorization requests.
• Cross-Department Liaison: Communicate clear updates to internal legal counsel, HR, safety officers, and supervisors while maintaining employee privacy and confidentiality.
• Medical & Legal Documentation: Gather medical reports, incident investigations, payroll records, and formal correspondence. Organize discovery materials and case files for external defense attorneys when claims are litigated.
• Return-to-Work Coordination: Partner with HR and departmental managers to facilitate modified-duty assignments and transitional return-to-work plans based on medical restrictions.
