Essentia Health is seeking a Workers' Compensation Assistant to support our legal team in Duluth, MN. This hybrid role blends on-site coordination with remote work after training, handling inquiries, documents, and medical records with care.

You will liaise with physicians, insurers, and employers, manage files, notarize documents, and assist with filing with the Department of Labor and Industry. Ideal candidates have at least two years of office experience and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of office experience, including handling medical records.
• Experience with EMR processing and document management is preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a busy healthcare environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Answer inquiries from workers’ compensation insurers, employers, patients, and stakeholders.
• Serve as a liaison between physicians, insurers, employers, and patients regarding care plans and documentation.
• Maintain and organize hard copy and electronic files; process and file medical records and documents.
• Assist with notarization and filing of required documents with the Department of Labor and Industry.
• Support the program manager and team with administrative tasks as needed.
