Essentia Health is hiring a Workers Compensation Assistant to support our legal team in a hybrid Duluth-area role. The position focuses on handling workers' compensation inquiries, medical records, and documentation with accuracy and confidentiality.

You will liaise with physicians, insurers, employers, and patients, maintain files, notarize as needed, and assist with regulatory filings. The role requires detail orientation, time management, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of office experience, including experience working with medical records.
• Experience with EMR processing and document management preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, time-management, and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsabilités

• Answer inquiries from workers' compensation insurers, employers, patients, and stakeholders.
• Liaise between physicians, insurers, employers, and patients to clarify care plans and documentation needs.
• Maintain hard copy and electronic files, notarize as directed, and assist with filings with regulatory bodies.
• Support the program manager and team with administrative tasks in a busy healthcare legal environment.
• Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and ensure accurate workers' compensation communications.
