Job summary

Jobot, a well-established workers’ compensation defense firm in California, seeks a capable attorney to manage a varied docket from intake through trial. The role requires drafting pleadings, motions and discovery, taking depositions, and appearing at hearings and trials.

You will collaborate with claims adjusters, in-house counsel and risk managers to secure favorable outcomes, negotiate settlements, and ensure billing targets are met while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Active membership in the California bar.
• Minimum of three years defending workers’ compensation claims for employers or carriers.
• Must bill north of 180 hours per month consistently.
• Strong litigation, drafting and advocacy skills required.
• Experience with depositions, hearings and trials.

Responsibilities

Job Details

Salary: $140,000 - $220,000 per year

• Manage a varied docket of workers’ compensation files from intake through trial
