Job summary

IFMK Law, Ltd. in Illinois seeks a Workers' Compensation Defense Associate with 2–5 years of experience. You will manage a litigation caseload under an assigned Mentor and have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across the firm.

The firm offers in-house training and a broad range of matters, including depositions, negotiations, and all litigation stages. Initial in-office start in Chicago, Northbrook, or Champaign, with hybrid work from home available after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois law license in good standing.
• Strong research and writing abilities.
• Excellent communication and professionalism.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage a litigation caseload under a Mentor.
• Handle depositions of experts and witnesses.
• Negotiate cases with opposing counsel.
• Direct hand-on in all stages of litigation, including pre-trials, trials, and appeals.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients ranging from corporations to public entities.
