Job summary

AvonRisk in California seeks a detail-oriented Claims Support Specialist to assist the Claims team with clerical operations. You will prepare new claims files, calculate benefits, process payments, and communicate with providers and employers to keep every case on track.

This role supports the unit Claims Supervisor, works closely with Claims Specialists, and contributes to accurate record keeping, timely responses, and compliant documentation across a multi-state program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1–2 years related experience preferred.
• Ability to handle clerical tasks and communicate with providers and customers.
• Detail-oriented with ability to follow process and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepares new claims files.
• Calculates benefits and processes payments on diary schedule.
• Issues compensation payments and benefit notices.
• Handles provider inquiries and processes direct pays.
• Files and serves duties and documents notes in Portal.
