Qualifications

• Proven interpersonal, analytical and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to provide information in a clear, concise manner and build relationships.
• Bachelor's degree and 1 year claims handling experience; knowledge of liability and coverage preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages an inventory of claims to evaluate compensability/liability.
• Establishes action plans based on case facts, best practices, protocols and resources.
• Plans and conducts investigations of claims to confirm coverage and determine liability, compensability and damages.
• Assesses policy coverage and notifies insured of issues; determines and establishes reserve requirements; adjusts reserves as needed.
• Assesses actual damages and conducts negotiations to settle claims within authority.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
