Job summary

Des Moines Orthopaedics in West Des Moines, IA is seeking a Workers' Compensation Coordinator to support the team during growth. You will liaise with Nurse Case Managers, adjusters, and employers to schedule referrals and collect claim details, injuries, and essential job duties.

The role is full-time, 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday, at our West Des Moines office. Prior workers' comp or medical-legal coordination is preferred; bi-lingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of prior experience working with workers' compensation, medical-legal matters, or civil referral sources (attorneys, insurers, adjusters, TPAs)
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking and process-driven skills
• Ability to communicate (verbally and written) in a professional manner with individuals with varying backgrounds, bi-lingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling Workers' Compensation referrals from Nurse Case Managers, adjusters and employers.
• Obtain necessary stakeholder details including claim number, accepted condition, billing address, date of injury, and essential job duties
• Verification of all appropriate records, images, documentation are requested and received from referring entities or entities previously involved in patient's care
• Communication and coordination with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination of care for patients
