Job summary

BCG Attorney Search in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Associate Attorney specializing in Workers' Compensation. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload from inception through resolution, providing strategic legal counsel and representation in court, arbitrations, and depositions.

Required are a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, an active Georgia bar, at least 2 years of experience, and strong research, writing, and advocacy skills. A hybrid work environment is offered.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the state posted.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in practice group.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience with administrative proceedings, depositions, and mediations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Professional demeanor with strong client-relations and communication skills.
• Must be responsive and organized, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct file review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action.
• Perform extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
• Regularly represent clients in court, at arbitrations, and in depositions.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests.
• Retain and collaborate with expert witnesses.
• Prepare for and attend trials.
• Collaborate closely with partners, clients, and stakeholders to deliver strategic and practical legal advice.
• Manage deadlines and assignments with a high level of ownership and independence.
• Meet an annual billable requirement of 1,950 hours.
