Job summary

ArcBest in Fort Smith, AR is seeking a detail-focused Worker's Compensation Coordinator to provide clerical support to our compensation team and help manage risk issues across the organization. You will handle filing forms, process daily mail, coordinate with injured workers within 24 hours, and collaborate with administrators to streamline claim workflows.

This hourly role requires accuracy, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities during a typical 8:00 am–5:00 pm

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, preferred.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Process daily mail and forward to the appropriate administrator or supervisor.
• Contact injured workers within 24 hours of an injury.
• File state workers' compensation forms electronically.
• Issue drafts and mileage verifications to support investigations.
• Provide clerical support to managers and director.
• Manage calls from claimants, providers, and company personnel.
• Collaborate to streamline department processes.
• Process recovery drafts and index claims documents.
• Handle Alternate Work Program paperwork.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
