Job summary

Altivera Medical in the United States is seeking a Manager to lead the Worker’s Comp and Liability function, collaborating with Billing, Sales Support, Compliance, and cross-functional partners to ensure timely processing, strong documentation readiness, and adherence to privacy and payer requirements.

You will coach supervisors and staff, oversee performance, develop QA and training plans, and drive process improvements across the order and claims lifecycle to reduce denials and improve cash

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 5+ years reviewing medical records, claims docs, or related healthcare docs.
• 3+ years supervisory in Worker’s Comp and Liability space.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and payer guidance.
• Experience engaging with Attorneys and Third Party Administrators.
• Strong coaching, feedback, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to identify gaps and risks.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and claims/authorization systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Worker’s Comp and Liability function, workflow, staffing, and priorities.
• Lead supervisors and Case Workers reviewing medical records and payer criteria.
• Establish and reinforce documentation review standards and procedures.
• Monitor metrics: accuracy, timeliness, backlog, quality trends; report to leadership.
• Lead quality management routines and corrective action plans.
• Oversee escalated documentation issues and complex cases.
• Partner with internal teams to improve handoffs and workflows.
• Identify gaps and risks; implement action plans to address root causes.
• Collaborate with Revenue Integrity to optimize cash collection and reduce denials.
• Support onboarding, training, performance management, and succession planning.
• Ensure privacy and compliance with policies and applicable controls.
