The ideal candidate must have a JD and be licensed to practice in Louisiana, with excellent writing, research, and communication skills. Travel within Louisiana may be required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of workers’ compensation defense experience.
• JD and licensed to practice in Louisiana.
• Appellate experience is a plus.
• Strong writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Excellent client communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze complex workers’ compensation issues.
• Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and detailed reports.
• Conduct depositions, site inspections, and witness preparation.
• Appear in court, argue motions, and participate in mediations.
• Manage all aspects of litigation, including trial preparation and trial work.
• Collaborate with clients, adjusters, employers, and experts throughout the lifecycle of a claim.
• Travel as needed, primarily within Louisiana.
