Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Louisiana State Bar in good standing.
• 3–7 years of workers’ compensation or insurance defense experience.
• Strong analytical and legal writing abilities.
• Experience handling depositions, hearings, or administrative proceedings.
• Ability to manage files independently while supporting a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of workers’ compensation defense matters.
• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Represent clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, and WKC proceedings.
• Evaluate claims and develop defense strategies.
• Communicate updates and risk assessments to clients regularly.
• Collaborate with colleagues and providers to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Stay current on workers’ compensation statutes and case law.
