Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Workday Technical Lead to drive solution design and hands-on development across Integrations, Extend, and data architectures. You will translate ambiguous requirements into scalable designs, collaborate with the Product Owner, and lead technical discussions with stakeholders.

The role emphasizes building secure integrations, modernizing the SNC Workday stack, and delivering high-quality documentation and runbooks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience with at least 2+ years of hands-on Workday technical experience, including deep expertise in Workday integration development, security, reports and business processes.
• Higher level degree may substitute for experience; in absence, 10 years of related experience required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Workday Orchestrate
• Workday Certification in Orchestrate/Integrations
• Experience with Workday Business Processes and Security Configuration
• Solid Experience building reports with Workday Report Writer
• Proven experience building Workday Extend applications
• Strong command of XML, SQL, JSON
• Experience with RESTful APIs, SOAP, and GraphQL in enterprise integration context
• Familiarity with MuleSoft and data platforms like Snowflake/Power BI
• Security concepts including OAuth and SAML
• Ability to design solutions under ambiguous requirements
• Experience with integration testing, release management, and operational best practices
• Strong documentation and communication skills across technical and business audiences

Responsibilities

• Lead solution design for complex Workday initiatives, translating needs into technical designs and diagrams.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Workday solutions across Integrations, Extend, APIs, and data platforms.
• Architect secure integration patterns and modernize the SNC tech stack.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and document Workday integrations and runbooks.
• Collaborate with Product Owner and stakeholders to drive end-to-end solutions.
• Stay current on Workday platform advancements and AI/LLM opportunities in HR tech.
