Role Purpose:As a Workday Senior HRIS Analyst, you will be accountable for supporting various modules including HCM, Talent, Payroll, Time and Absence. You will gather requirements, design, configure, test, deploy and support your solution. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams, guiding projects and mentoring peers to deliver innovative, scalable solutions.
Day-to-day, this role will serve as a subject matter expert to troubleshoot defects, resolve data discrepancies, enhance functionality for new business requirements and manage updates for the Workday Releases. The Sr HRIS Analyst will also be responsible for performing data analysis to ensure the system is properly recording specific metrics while ensuring information security, testing updates, and improving process efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Act as a lead for cross-functional projects through ongoing requirements gathering, design, configuration, test, deployment, and maintenance of Workday configuration for new functionality or enhancements
- Demonstrate specialized expertise through creative solution design to evaluate wide-ranging and complex issues
- Complete system configuration requirements and documentation for requested enhancements and system changes including approved changes to business processes, organization changes, workflows, and security models
- Work with functional users to determine and prioritize project requirements needed to meet changing needs
- Effectively collaborate with other teams to resolve issues, including performing impact assessments on program logic issues, data discrepancies, and system design while proactively seeking feedback from appropriate parties on suggested solutions
- Prepare test plans, execute test scripts, and support user acceptance testing and training
- Recommend improvements to procedures and/or process flows to reduce and eliminate processing errors
- Provides functional and technical user application support, consulting more advanced technical resources as needed
- May also design and facilitate training for the functionality and use of various human resources related systems and applications
- Assist with system-related tasks for special projects, mergers, acquisitions, system conversions, and company divestitures
- Serve as the subject matter expert providing troubleshooting and other support for end users while escalating complex issues as needed
- Perform ongoing maintenance regarding tenant set-up, data updates (EIBs), business processes, and reporting
- Manage Workday major release impact on configurations and integrations identifying risks and opportunities for enhancements
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity
- Troubleshoot HRIS issues and errors, quickly resolving them along with root causes by leveraging best practices and developing long-term solutions
- Guide, train, lead and consult with functional users to identify best practice and strategy in configuration
- Ensure compliance with internal and external audit standards, such as Sarbanes-Oxley, while maintaining robust documentation.
- Stay informed on emerging industry trends and best practices, leveraging this knowledge to enhance system performance and innovation.
- Participate in or create integrations from Workday as needed
Education and/or Experience:Required:- Minimum of 4 years data administration on Workday system with increasing complexity over time
- Bachelor's degree (relevant experience and/or certification in specialist HR/IT function may be substituted for degree, when appropriate)
- Experience with Workday's HRIS system across multiple modules such as HCM, Absence, Recruiting, Talent, Compensation, Security and Onboarding Modules

- Knowledge of requirement gathering techniques, project management, and HRIS systems development methodologies.
- Robust analytical skills; knowledge of configuration, testing and implementation techniques.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel & Microsoft Office.
- Critical thinker with exceptional ability to model business processes and identify and resolve gaps.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated history of significant customer deliverables, building rapport, and influencing decisions.
