Job summary

Groundswell is seeking a highly skilled Workday Solution Architect to design and deliver enterprise Workday HCM solutions for federal clients. You will lead cross-functional teams, translate requirements into scalable architectures, and ensure security and compliance across large programs.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in Workday/ERP, 3+ deployments, and the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance. Local to the Washington, DC area with on-site work 3–4 days per week.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen per contract requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain government Top Secret clearance with SCI favorability and CI Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in STEM or related field.
• Workday HCM Certification required; additional Workday certs preferred.
• 10+ years' experience implementing Workday or equivalent HCM/ERP apps.
• Experience leading 3+ Workday deployments from planning through go-live.
• Experience leading delivery teams.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Deep knowledge of system architecture principles for scalable, secure systems.
• Security best practices: encryption, access controls, identity management.

Responsibilities

• Design Workday and HCM architecture for large programs.
• Provide expertise on software design and system architecture issues.
• Translate client requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams.
• Lead delivery teams and mentor junior staff.
• Oversee design reviews of customer applications.
• Test, troubleshoot, and optimize applications.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and propose improvements.
• Support sales and delivery discussions on architecture and interoperability.
• Deliver deep-dives, demos, and customer training.
• Write specs and documentation.
• Provide level-of-effort estimates and scoping.
• Mitigate risks and gaps with planned strategies.
• Partner with product/engineering to improve software quality.
• Oversee project outcomes including infrastructure and application design.
