Position Summary

The Sr Advanced Solution Architect (Workday) role at Light & Wonder (LNW) supports aspects which operate and enhance the Core HCM, Security Administration, and Reporting & Dashboards functions of Workday in a global business environment.

In addition to specific ERP-related activities, the position will manage a team of Workday functional and technical resources, collaborate with business leaders to develop tactical and strategic HR operations plans, and interact with internal IT and external service providers to pursue multiple initiatives.

The Sr Advanced Solution Architect (Workday) will serve as the primary HRIT liaison, understanding business needs, prioritizing, and leading delivery teams, engaging with internal and external stakeholders to improve systems, and maintaining awareness of upcoming changes. The role involves daily interaction with platform teams, internal COEs, HRBPs, networking teams, and vendors.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Serve as a system administrator for Workday Core HCM, Talent Management, Security Administration, and Reporting & Dashboards, providing technical leadership.
  • Lead or participate in projects emphasizing knowledge sharing, openness, and transparency.
  • Manage offshore delivery team deliverables.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and functionalities related to Workday.
  • Define requirements and develop solutions collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Core HCM, Business Process configurations, Security, and Reporting.
  • Develop complex reports and support integrations.
  • Facilitate communication between business partners and project teams to meet long-term goals.
  • Support end users by diagnosing and resolving system issues.
  • Research and resolve platform issues, security concerns, and recommend improvements.
  • Follow and promote application development lifecycle practices and best practices for requirements gathering and solution design.
  • Develop scalable solutions to improve HR processes and user experience, translating business needs into clear requirements.
  • Collaborate with vendors on their roadmaps, upgrades, and issue resolution.
  • Create and maintain functional design documentation.
  • Implement testing, including system and user acceptance testing.
  • Coordinate reporting requirements across business units.
  • Deliver training and develop training materials.
  • Ensure development efforts stay within budget and deadlines.
Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, BSEE, BSCE, BSEET, or BSCS required.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in business systems analysis/engineering, solution design, and deployment.
  • 3+ years of advanced experience in Workday Functional Design and configuration.
  • Strong knowledge of Core HCM, Business Process Configuration, Security, and Reporting.
  • Experience with Core and Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Talent Management, Time Tracking, and Absence Management.
  • Experience with Workday Phase 1 & 2 implementations, functional design, and testing.
  • Understanding of data conversion concepts.
  • Knowledge of system development lifecycle, including new implementations and support.
  • Expertise in the Software Development Lifecycle and operating systems for HCM.
  • Awareness of US and global data privacy laws, GDPR, and Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
  • Experience with JIRA, ServiceNow, or similar ticketing systems preferred.
  • Workday Certification in Recruitment preferred and must be current.

The targeted pay range for this role is $105,000 - $140,000, potentially including bonuses. Compensation depends on skills, experience, location, and internal and market considerations.

Physical Requirements

Regular sitting, standing, walking, using hands, operating a computer, with specific vision abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be provided.
