Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Workday Report Writer to design, develop, and optimize reporting across HR, Finance, IT, and operations. You will build advanced reports, manage Prism datasets, and ensure data integrity while partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.

The role requires 3+ years of Workday reporting experience, expertise in Workday Report Writer and calculated fields, and strong analytical and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, HR, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of Workday reporting experience with Report Writer and calculated fields.
• Strong data analysis and Workday security knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills and attention to data accuracy.
• Ability to translate requirements into actionable reports and maintain standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Workday reports to enable data-driven decisions.
• Build matrix, composite reports, and RaaS outputs.
• Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and operations to gather requirements.
• Create and maintain calculated fields across HCM data sources.
• Validate report accuracy and troubleshoot data discrepancies.
• Assist with Workday upgrades, testing, and report validation.
• Document report logic and maintain reporting catalogs and standards.
• Ensure reports comply with Workday security and data privacy.
• Develop reports across HR, Payroll, Recruiting, Benefits, and more.
• Create Prism-derived datasets and join with native Workday data.
• Design derived datasets and manage data relationships.
