Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Workday Report Writer to design, develop, and optimize reporting within Workday HCM. You will partner with HR, Finance, IT, and operations to gather requirements and deliver custom reports using Workday tools.

Responsibilities include building advanced reports, validating data, and supporting upgrades with a focus on data integrity and security. Strong Excel skills and Workday certification are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
• 3+ years Workday reporting experience preferred
• Expertise in Workday Report Writer and calculated fields; Prism experience
• Strong data analysis and report development skills
• Knowledge of Workday security and data sources for accurate retrieval
• Advanced Excel skills
• Ability to translate reporting requirements into delivered outputs
• Workday Report Writer certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Workday reports to enable data-driven decisions
• Create advanced matrix and RaaS outputs
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and ops to gather reporting requirements
• Build complex calculated fields across HCM data sources
• Validate report accuracy and troubleshoot data discrepancies
• Assist with Workday upgrades, testing, and report validation
• Document report logic and maintain reporting standards and catalogs
• Ensure reports adhere to Workday security controls and privacy requirements
• Develop reports across Workday HCM ecosystem: HR, Payroll, Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, Talent, Learning
• Create and manage Prism datasets, schemas, data types, relationships
• Design derived datasets by joining Prism with native Workday data
