Job summary

Highbrow Technology Inc. seeks a Workday Payroll SME to own payroll design, governance, testing, and vendor coordination during the migration from semi-monthly to bi-weekly payroll and third-party processing.

The candidate should have 7+ years of Workday Payroll experience, 3+ large-scale implementations, and hands-on expertise in earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and benefits. You will collaborate with HR, Finance, Benefits, and downstream teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years Workday Payroll experience.
• Experience with large-scale Workday Payroll implementations.
• Experience leading end-to-end payroll transformations.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead payroll design and configuration decisions within Workday.
• Redesign pay groups, payroll calendars, earnings, and deductions for bi-weekly payroll.
• Validate payroll data mappings between Workday and ADP.
• Ensure proper handling of earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and benefits deductions.
• Govern vendor deliverables and validate payroll solution design.
• Lead payroll, benefits, and GL testing activities.
• Manage parallel payroll comparisons and payroll reconciliation.
• Support cutover planning, conversion validation, and go-live readiness.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Benefits, Compensation, and downstream application teams.
• Ensure compliance, audit readiness, and payroll controls.

Serve as the Workday Payroll SME and primary owner of Workday payroll design, configuration governance, payroll-to-benefits alignment, testing oversight, and vendor coordination during the migration from semi-monthly payroll to a bi-weekly schedule and payroll processing with 3rd party vendor.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead payroll design and configuration decisions within Workday.
• Redesign pay groups, payroll calendars, earnings, deductions, and payroll-related configurations for bi-weekly payroll.
• Validate payroll data mappings between Workday and ADP.
• Ensure proper handling of earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and benefits deductions.
• Govern vendor deliverables and validate payroll solution design.
• Lead payroll, benefits, and GL testing activities.
• Manage parallel payroll comparisons and payroll reconciliation.
• Support cutover planning, conversion validation, and go-live readiness.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Benefits, Compensation, and downstream application teams.
• Ensure compliance, audit readiness, and payroll controls.

Required Skills

• Deep knowledge of payroll tax, earnings, deductions, garnishments, and benefits.
• Experience with payroll outsourcing programs (ADP preferred).
• Experience converting payroll frequencies.
• Strong reconciliation and audit skills.
• Experience with payroll GL processes.

Preferred Skills

• Having workday cross modules like Time & Absence, Benefits, compensation & performance.
• Implementation experience with Semi-monthly to Bi-weekly conversion
