Job summary

Everfox is seeking an accounting operations specialist to support payroll and accounting within the Finance organization. The role centers on coordinating payroll processing from data collection to submission, with backup support for Accounts Payable and reconciliations.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in accounting/payroll, strong Excel skills, and experience with Workday Payroll. This hybrid role requires onsite work 2–3 days/week near Herndon, VA and may involve cross-functional tasks.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of accounting, payroll, AP, AR, or related finance experience preferred.
• Foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial operations.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Payroll Operations (Primary Responsibility): coordinate and manage payroll processing activities from data collection through final submission.
• Gather, validate, and review payroll data for completeness and accuracy prior to processing.
• Coordinate payroll approvals and submit finalized payroll information to the payroll processing provider.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related questions and issue resolution.
