Job summary

Group 1 Automotive, Inc. is seeking an HRIS Analyst – Payroll, Absence & Time Tracking (PATT) to configure and support Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence modules. You will partner with Payroll, HR, Benefits, and Finance to translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions.

Responsibilities include configuring payroll rules, time calculations, testing configurations, and supporting release management. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Workday Payroll, Absence and Time Entry configuration.
• Understanding of payroll concepts; payroll processing experience is a plus.
• Experience with test planning and execution.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain payroll-related components including earnings, deductions, calculations, eligibility rules, and related business processes
• Configure and maintain Time Tracking functionality including time calculations, time entry rules, validations, eligibility, overtime, premium pay, and related business processes
• Configure and maintain Absence functionality including time-off plans, accruals, eligibility rules, carryover rules, validations, and related calculations
• Perform configuration changes in accordance with established HRIS change control and governance standards
• Develop test scenarios and execute unit, regression, and system testing for configuration changes
• Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing with functional stakeholders
• Evaluate Workday releases for Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence functionality
• Recommend and implement applicable release features and enhancements
• Validate production changes following deployment
