The position collaborates with senior analysts and HR partners to improve HR technology and governance. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in HRIS/Workday, strong reporting skills, and a Bachelor’s in HR/Business/IS.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in HRIS Analyst or similar role
  • 2+ years configuring Workday Performance Management
  • Experience writing and generating custom Workday reports
  • Experience maintaining Workday business processes, security, and releases
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel (pivot tables, formulas)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary technical contact for Workday Performance; support Core HCM, Compensation, Payroll, Time/Absence
  • Configure end-to-end system settings to support global performance cycles
  • Lead performance workflow design and resolve technical issues
  • Provide Workday technical and user support across modules; troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Process production support tickets and project tasks with high accuracy and deadlines
  • Maintain HCM production support processes including monitoring and issue resolution
  • Define, refine, and maintain business process configurations
  • Configure and manage automated mass actions and system alerts
  • Participate in Workday biannual feature update cycles
  • Collaborate with Workday Security to manage domain security policies
  • Design and deploy Workday solutions to meet functional requirements
  • Test and implement feature enhancements across modules
  • Audit and validate data and reports to preserve integrity
  • Review end-user data entry to identify gaps and strengthen governance
  • Provide HRIS maintenance, implementations, and troubleshooting
  • Partner with senior analysts to share knowledge and drive goals
  • Engage with HR partners to lead new module functionality and broader HCM programs
  • Communicate technical insights and analyses to non-technical partners
  • Demonstrate support for journalistic independence and NYT mission
