We are seeking an experienced Workday Consultant to support a major HR transformation initiative from the discovery phase through implementation. The ideal candidate will be highly business-focused, with a strong understanding of HR operations and processes, rather than being solely focused on Workday technical implementation or configuration.
This individual will work closely with the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and her leadership team to evaluate current HR processes, identify opportunities for improvement, define future-state requirements, and provide strategic guidance throughout the Workday transformation.
Partner directly with the CHRO and HR leadership team during the discovery and implementation phases.
Assess current HR processes, systems, and workflows and identify opportunities for optimization.
Provide guidance on Workday capabilities, HR best practices, and future-state processes.
Help define business requirements and translate HR needs into Workday solutions.
Provide subject-matter expertise across areas such as:
Facilitate discovery sessions and workshops with HR stakeholders.
Challenge existing processes when appropriate and help the organization determine the best future-state approach.
Serve as a trusted advisor to HR leadership throughout the transformation.
Work closely with implementation partners and technical teams to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into the Workday solution.
Support decision-making, prioritization, process design, testing, and organizational readiness throughout implementation.
Help bridge the gap between HR business stakeholders and Workday implementation/technical teams.
Provide guidance and recommendations to ensure the organization maximizes the value of its Workday investment.
Extensive experience working within an HR/HRIS environment.
Strong knowledge of HR business processes and operations.
Hands-on experience with Workday and Workday-related HR transformations.
Strong understanding of areas such as Recruiting, Benefits, Core HR, Talent, Compensation, and Onboarding.
Demonstrated ability to work directly with senior HR executives and business leadership.
Experience leading or participating in discovery, requirements gathering, process design, and implementation activities.
Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to translate complex HR technology capabilities into clear business recommendations.
Comfortable acting as a strategic advisor rather than simply executing technical requirements.
Paycom experience is highly desirable.
Experience participating in a Paycom-to-Workday transformation is considered an exceptional advantage.
Previous experience working as an HR leader, HRIS consultant, HR transformation consultant, or HR business process specialist.
Experience supporting large-scale HR technology transformations.
