Job summary

A New York City organization is seeking a Workday HCM System Analyst to help implement Workday and support the platform after launch. Working within the Finance department, this person will partner closely with HR, Benefits, Payroll, and other teams to translate business needs into effective Workday solutions.

The ideal candidate has participated in a full Workday implementation and is comfortable with both hands-on system work and the detailed coordination needed to bring a new platform live.

Qualifications

• Experience participating in at least one full-cycle Workday implementation.
• At least 3 years of experience in HRIS, HCM systems, HR operations, or Workday administration.
• Strong knowledge of Workday HCM and familiarity with Benefits, Absence, Time Tracking, Payroll, and Compensation.
• Experience working with HR, benefits, payroll, or workforce management processes.
• Excellent organization, analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with stakeholders across departments.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience; Workday certification or comparable implementation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday HCM modules and business processes.
• Partner with HR, Benefits, Payroll, and Time & Attendance teams to gather requirements and translate them into system configurations.
• Configure and maintain organizational structures, job profiles, positions, security roles, compensation structures, and workflows.
• Help migrate employee and organizational data from legacy systems, including data mapping, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.
• Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing, issue resolution, go-live preparation, and post-launch support.
• Analyze processes involving recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, benefits, leave, accruals, and time tracking.
• Create and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, calculated fields, and data extracts.
• Provide ongoing system support, training, documentation, and guidance to users.
• Evaluate Workday updates and identify opportunities to improve processes and expand use of the platform.
