Position Overview

GEICO is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Workday Financials team. This role offers an opportunity to build from the ground up and influence the future. Responsibilities include design, development, testing, and deployment of integrations using Workday core tools. You will contribute to our insurance business transformation and help foster a culture of psychological safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage system integrations within the Workday Financial system architecture.
• Support and develop Workday inbound and outbound integrations.
• Define products and drive solutions using your technical expertise.
• Collaborate across teams throughout the software lifecycle.
• Lead design sessions and code reviews to enhance engineering quality.
• Ensure data and application integrity through analysis, documentation, and problem resolution.
• Translate business specifications into technical requirements.
• Design, develop, test, and support solutions in Workday technologies.
• Develop interfaces and conduct testing.
• Stay updated with tech trends, participate in communities, and mentor peers.
• Mentor other engineers and share best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with Workday Financials integrations, PRISM, and Accounting Center processes.
• Proficiency with Web Services, APIs, XML, and XLST.
• Knowledge of Workday tools like EIB, Studio, Report Writer, BIRT.
• Experience designing and maintaining complex integrations.
• Ability to create complex calculated fields.
• Experience with scalable, resilient systems and monitoring tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle tools.
• Ability to prioritize and work independently or collaboratively.

Experience & Education

• 4+ years of software development experience within the Workday Ecosystem.
• 3+ years in architecture and design.
• 2+ years with cloud services like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $70,000 - $185,000 annually, depending on experience and other factors. GEICO offers comprehensive benefits including a 401K plan, health benefits, tuition assistance, and flexible remote work options.
