Job summary

Qualifications

• Proficient across all phases of the Application Development Lifecycle.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills; works well remotely/time zones.
• Bachelor-level technical degree or equivalent experience.

Job Title : Workday Finance Integration Engineer
Location: On site, Palo Alto, CA (not a remote role)
Duration: 6 months – This role is funded for 6 and expected to extend.
Rate: $60-70/hr on Vendor W2

About the Role:

We are seeking a Workday Finance Integration Engineer to support the implementation and deployment of our Workday Financial platform to empower overseas business growth with our investment studios. You will work cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, IT teams to build trusted data flows across Workday Finance and other Finance IT systems, powering real-time insights and compliance automation

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Act as a domain expert in Workday Financial Integration areas (e.g. Web Services Integration Development, Studio Integrations, EIB, Connectors)
• Work across a distributed technical landscape to design, develop, test and support data conversion & integration solutions
• Identify, assess, and solve complex business problems for integrating the Workday cloud application with external applications across a wide array of Financial functional areas, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
• Work collaboratively with functional leads and architects to clarify business requirements and to achieve a consensus on the organization’s needs and priorities
• Prepare detailed estimates and test plans based on Functional requirements
• Work closely with business partners to understand business processes, goals, and gaps
• Drive the design, configuration, and deployment of new projects & system enhancements
• Participate in the change management and go live support processes
• Develop procedures, manuals, and other documentation for the systems developed based on the requirements gathered

Qualifications

• 5+ Years experience in Workday Finance Integrations
• Experience with common integration problems, such as security, data conversion, and various implementation approaches
• Experience with Workday Web Service Application Program Interface (APIs), Studio, BIRT Reporting, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Advanced Report Writer, Cloud Connect (PICOF, PECI, CCW, CCB), Business Process Framework, Configurable Security, Calculated Fields, Custom fields, XML/XSLT
• Experience working with PRISM Analytics and Accounting Center.
• Strong understanding of Workday Financials data model, including GL, AP, AR etc.
• Ability to deliver Workday integration solutions that are fit for purpose including requirements capture, design, development, testing, operation implementation and post go live support
• Experience delivering large scale Workday Financial engagements or complex IT engagements
• Proficient in all phases of the Application Development Lifecycle
• Fast Learner and work collaboratively in a cross-functional team
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to change
• Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills required to interact with colleagues and internal customers
• Ability to work effectively with others who are in remote locations and varying time zones
• Experience in integration with 3rd party platforms
• A bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Engineering, or similar discipline; supported by experience in a similar technical environment
