Bridgewater State University is seeking a Title Work Study Costume Shop Assistant to support the Costume Shop as it helps produce six Theatre and Dance Department productions each year. You will learn technical skills for building and altering costumes and develop practical organization and creative problem solving.
In this role you will assist with costume preparation, crafting projects, fittings, stock documentation, and shop maintenance, under the supervision of the Costume Shop Coordinator.

Position Description
Are you interested in hands‑on, creative work? If so, the Costume Shop is an excellent place to begin! We help create six Theatre and Dance Department productions per year. You will learn technical skills used for building and altering costumes, practical organization skills, and you will have opportunities to apply creative problem solving to your everyday work.
In the Costume Shop you will:
Preferably students should be able to lift 25 lbs., be comfortable on ladders, and be able to climb stairs. Manual dexterity is also necessary.
