Job summary

The NC Department of Adult Correction seeks an Employment Programs Administrator to develop and expand job skills training and employment opportunities for incarcerated individuals, focusing on work release programs. This role recruits employers, aligns them with facilities, and coordinates transportation for participants.

Travel within the assigned region is required to maintain relationships with facilities and employers, while delivering training and technical assistance on work release

Qualifications

• Understanding of correctional job skill training and employment programs.
• Ability to review and evaluate potential programs for correctional settings.
• Awareness of correctional work release programs and processes.
• At least three years' experience in a correctional or justice-involved setting.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and recruit employers for work release placements.
• Match work release employers with suitable facilities.
• Coordinate transportation logistics for work release participants.
• Travel frequently within the assigned region to maintain relationships with facilities and employers.
• Provide training and technical assistance on work release policies and procedures.
• Monitor and review program effectiveness, proposing improvements.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support outreach and implementation.
