Job summary

The Planner at LUMA Energy ensures work readiness for new projects, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and customer service work. The role leads in determining resources, hours, materials, crew size, permits, equipment, and other needs to execute work efficiently.

Education includes an associate degree or related experience; journeyman qualification is favored. This position requires 3+ years in dispatch, project management, or related fields and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering, business administration or related field, or combination of education and experience.
• Journeyman trade qualification with planning and office-based experience preferred.
• Technical courses or certifications will be considered an asset.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Receive work and resource requests; compile requests, review timelines, and schedule with Supervisors.
• Coordinate with multiple functional groups to align scope, resources, milestones, and scheduling.
• Assess location, availability, workload and skills to quickly assign work.
• Maintain real-time schedule data and resolve conflicts to meet deadlines.
• Plan short- and long-term resource and equipment needs; adjust as required.
