Job summary

LUMA Energy seeks an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead daily field and support teams, supervise tasks, and drive safe, reliable power system restoration and performance. You will monitor performance, coordinate outages, and promote a culture of safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include planning workforce needs, guiding crews, coaching staff, managing budgets, and ensuring regulatory and labor agreement compliance while fostering a high‑performing, collaborative workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required; Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• 3–5 years in utility/field operations with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Experience with OSHA and NESC safety standards.
• Experience in a unionized/CBA environment is preferred.
• Additional education may substitute with hands-on leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily operations and coordinates field/workforce activities.
• Analyzes resource needs and supports planning and outage responses.
• Trains and develops employees, addressing skill gaps.
• Reinforces safety compliance and safe work practices.
• Evaluates system performance and supports asset reliability and automation.
• Monitors expenses, payroll, and budget alignment for operational activities.
• Addresses employee concerns and maintains a respectful workplace.
• Ensures compliance with regulations, labor agreements, and standards.
• Participates in storm restoration drills and critical recovery tasks.
• Delegates additional responsibilities to ensure continuity and responsiveness.
