JC Automation Corp. is seeking a Work Package Owner to oversee a defined project scope from field mobilization through turnover. You will manage safety, quality, schedule, cost, and risk while coordinating across design, procurement, construction, and CQV teams.

The role requires a strong background in multi-disciplinary project coordination, contractor management, and turnover readiness, with English proficiency and Spanish preferred for Puerto Rico locations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience supporting complex industrial, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or similar capital projects.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating multi-disciplinary construction, startup, and turnover activities.
  • Strong understanding of contractor management, construction execution, quality systems, and project controls.
  • Experience with systems completion, mechanical completion, turnover, and CQV processes preferred.
  • OSHA 30 preferred.
  • English required; Spanish strongly preferred for projects located in Puerto Rico.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Owner representative for an assigned Base Work Package from field mobilization through mechanical completion and turnover.
  • Maintain overall awareness of package safety, quality, schedule, cost, productivity, and risk performance.
  • Establish and maintain package-level execution readiness and interface tracking plans.
  • Ensure Owner obligations and deliverables are completed in accordance with project requirements.
  • Monitor contractor performance against approved safety, quality, schedule, and productivity goals.
  • Participate in field walks, coordination meetings, readiness reviews, and contractor progress discussions.
  • Identify emerging performance issues and elevate concerns through appropriate project governance channels.
  • Verify contractor-reported progress and support project controls reporting activities.
  • Identify and track constraints impacting package execution.
  • Coordinate timely resolution of Owner-driven and cross-functional constraints.
  • Facilitate decisions related to design clarifications, procurement issues, access requirements, permits, turnover priorities, and operational interfaces.
  • Escalate unresolved constraints to project leadership when required.
  • Coordinate package interfaces with adjacent work packages, utility systems, infrastructure, commissioning activities, and operational stakeholders.
  • Ensure interface risks are identified, documented, tracked, and resolved.
  • Support planning and execution of tie-ins, shutdowns, energizations, and system integration activities.
  • Promote project safety culture and Owner HSE expectations.
  • Participate in safety observations, field engagements, audits, and leadership walks.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with project safety requirements.
  • Track and accelerate significant safety concerns, trends, and recurring issues.
  • Monitor field quality performance and implementation of approved quality plans.
  • Support inspection readiness and adherence to project quality requirements.
  • Participate in quality reviews and issue resolution activities.
  • Track quality trends, deficiencies, punch list status, and corrective action closure.
  • Coordinate installation readiness and integration of Owner-furnished equipment and systems.
  • Interface with equipment suppliers and vendor representatives to support successful installation, startup, and turnover activities.
  • Track supplier deliverables, technical support requirements, and commissioning readiness.
