Job summary

North Shore Steel is seeking a meticulous Work Order Clerk to join our Production Planning Team in Houston, TX. You will create work orders for sales orders, track progress, reconcile inventory in the ERP, and coordinate with production and billing to keep operations running smoothly.

You will need strong math, accurate 10-key data entry, solid Windows skills, and excellent written and verbal communication to provide reliable service to internal and external customers while maintaining tight

Qualifications

• Strong math skills.
• Proficiency with 10-key data entry.
• Working knowledge of Windows PC applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail with strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

• Create work orders for sales orders requiring value-added services.
• Generate work order/purchase order combinations for outside processing.
• Reconcile costs and inventory upon work order completion.
• Address and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly in the ERP system.
• Ensure all required paperwork is submitted to billing accurately and on time.
• Monitor order statuses and coordinate releases for production.
• Provide exceptional service and communication to both internal and external customers.
• Assist with other administrative duties as required.
