Job summary

North Shore Steel in Houston, TX is seeking a detail-oriented Work Order Clerk to join our Production Planning Team. You will create work orders, track progress, reconcile inventory, and support billing and administrative tasks in our ERP system.

The ideal candidate has strong math skills, proficient 10-key data entry, excellent communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Prior work order processing or ERP experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Strong math skills required.
Proficient 10-key data entry and accuracy.
Proficiency with Windows PC applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
High attention to detail with strong organizational abilities.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Create work orders for sales orders requiring value-added services.
Generate work order/purchase order combinations for outside processing.
Reconcile costs and inventory upon work order completion.
Address and resolve inventory discrepancies in the ERP system.
Ensure all required paperwork is submitted to billing accurately and on time.
Monitor order statuses and coordinate releases for production.
Provide exceptional service and communication to internal and external customers.
Assist with other administrative duties as required.
