Job summary

Career Team is seeking a Work Experience (WEX) Coordinator to manage the WEX process for participants and lead related projects in Deep East Texas. You will collaborate with Career Advisors, employers, and participants to place individuals into meaningful work experiences under supervision of the Employer Services Manager.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, strong organizational skills, and proven ability to foster partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience coordinating programs in workforce development settings.
• Knowledge of the WIOA program and work experience (WEX) requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain partnerships.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with a proven track record of managing multiple tasks.
• Strong experience with outreach and relationship-building with employers and key stakeholders.
• Proficiency in data entry with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work in diverse settings with a culturally diverse customer base.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key liaison among multiple stakeholders, facilitating collaboration with employers and partners.
• Cultivate and strengthen partnerships with educational institutions, businesses, and community hosts.
• Become a subject matter expert on labor market and career trends.
• Complete eligibility determinations for WEX participants and accurately capture data in state systems.
• Assess and enhance work experience programs based on participant feedback.
• Monitor and report key performance indicators for work experience placements.
• Develop strategies to increase participation and engagement in partnership with Career Advisors.
• Coordinate and lead training sessions to strengthen team skills.
• Create and maintain documentation of WEX procedures and outcomes.
• Develop feedback mechanisms to improve experiences for participants and host employers.
• Coordinate outreach and customer engagement with the marketing team.
• Assist in onboarding new WEX participants in ADP and bi-weekly payroll submissions.
• Work with HR and Fiscal teams on onboarding and payroll accuracy.
• Meet or exceed program benchmarks.
• Maintain a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
