Job summary

Career Team in Deep East Texas invites a detail-oriented Work Experience (WEX) Coordinator to manage the WEX process for participants, collaborate with Career Advisors, employers, and participants, and handle eligibility data in the state system.

You will drive program improvements, report KPIs, coordinate training, onboarding in ADP, and work with HR and Fiscal teams to ensure payroll accuracy, meeting benchmarks and delivering strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience coordinating programs in workforce development settings or similar.
• Knowledge of WIOA program and work experience (WEX) requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain partnerships with employers, educational institutions, and community organizations.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with a proven track record of managing multiple tasks.
• Experience with outreach and relationship-building with employers and key stakeholders.
• Proficiency in data entry with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a culturally diverse customer base and be culturally sensitive.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; excellent verbal and written communication.
• Adherence to Extreme Customer Service principles in all interactions.
• A Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison among stakeholders to align goals and strategies with the Business Services Team and local employers.
• Cultivate and strengthen partnerships with educational institutions, businesses, and community host sites.
• Become a subject matter expert on labor market and career trends.
• Complete eligibility determination for WEX participants and accurately capture data in the state system.
• Assess and enhance work experience programs based on participant feedback.
• Monitor, analyze, and report KPIs related to work experience placements.
• Develop strategies to increase work experience participation and engagement.
• Coordinate and lead training sessions to strengthen team skills in managing WEX opportunities.
• Create and maintain documentation of WEX procedures and outcomes.
• Develop feedback mechanisms to improve WEX for participants and host businesses.
