Job summary

Career Team in Deep East Texas is seeking a dynamic Work Experience (WEX) Coordinator to manage the WEX process for participants, coordinating with Career Advisors, employers, and participants to place individuals into work experiences. This role reports to the Employer Services Manager and is 100% onsite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience coordinating programs in workforce development settings.
• Knowledge of the WIOA program and WEX requirements.
• Ability to build and maintain partnerships.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Outreach and relationship-building with employers and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in data entry with attention to detail.
• Ability to work with a culturally diverse customer base.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent time management and deadline-driven.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison among stakeholders to align goals and strategies.
• Cultivate partnerships with schools, businesses, and host sites.
• Become a labor market trends expert.
• Complete eligibility for WEX participants and document in state system.
• Assess and improve WEX programs based on feedback.
• Monitor, analyze, and report WEX KPIs.
• Develop strategies to increase WEX participation with Career Advisors.
• Lead training sessions to strengthen team skills in WEX management.
• Document WEX procedures and outcomes.
• Coordinate outreach with the marketing team.
• Onboard WEX participants in ADP and process payroll hours.
• Collaborate with HR and Fiscal on onboarding and payroll accuracy.
• Meet or exceed program benchmarks.
• Approach tasks with a ZAG mindset.
• Other duties as needed.
