Job summary

Otsego Northern Catskills BOCES in Grand Gorge and Milford is seeking a part-time, hourly Work-Based Learning Coordinator. The role focuses on developing and implementing programs aligned with NYSED requirements, CTE standards, and industry expectations to build a regional workforce pipeline.

The position requires valid NYS teacher certification with WBL extensions or eligibility to obtain them. A fingerprint background check may be required, and civil service eligibility rules apply.

Job description

Part-time, hourly position providing work-based learning services at NCOC in Grand Gorge and OAOC in Milford.

Duties include, but are not limited to: developing, implementing, and continuously improving work-based learning programs aligned with NYSED requirements, CTE curriculum standards, and industry expectations; creating and sustaining internship, job-shadowing, and pipeline opportunities for CTE and component district students as foundational elements of regional workforce development.

Salary: Hourly rate per contract

Civil Service position candidates must be reachable on the existing eligibility list. If there is no mandated eligibility list, candidates will be considered for provisional appointment. Continued employment will be contingent on successfully passing the required examination and being reached on the eligibility list.

The selected applicant will be subject to a fingerprint support criminal history background check in accordance with SAVE Legislation effective July 1, 2001.
