Job summary

Madison-Oneida BOCES in Verona, NY seeks a full-time, 10-month Coordinator of Work-Based Learning Programs to oversee student work experiences across secondary programs. You will ensure compliance with NYSDOL/NYSED, develop articulation agreements with colleges, and expand industry connections.

You’ll collaborate with the CTE Outreach Coordinator to host events and maintain program data for reporting. Qualified candidates hold NY State Teacher Certification and may need an extension

Qualifications

• New York State teaching certification is required.
• Must possess or be eligible for the extension certification as Coordinator of Work-Based Learning Programs for Career Development.
• Experience with work-based learning programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight, support, and coordination of all work-based learning experiences for students in secondary programs (PROPEL, PTECH, New Visions, etc.).
• Ensure adherence to NYSDOL and NYSED regulations for placement of students in work-site experiences.
• Develop articulation agreements and dual-credit options with post-secondary institutions.
• Develop and refine connections to business and industry and plan CT events such as open houses and job fairs; track and manage data for reporting purposes.

Job description

Duties: Provides oversight, support, and coordination of all work-based learning experiences for students enrolled in Secondary Programs to include PROPEL, PTECH, New Visions, etc.). Ensures that NYSDOL and NYSED regulations for placement of students in work site experiences are adhered to. Works with post-secondary institutions to develop and formalize articulation agreements and dual-credit options. Develops and refines connections to business and industry, expanding and enhancing opportunities for students. Will work closely with the CTE Outreach Coordinator to plan events, coordinate open houses, job fairs and other CTE community events on an annual basis. Will track and manage all data associated with work-based learning for reporting purposes.

Qualifications: N.Y. State Teacher certification; must possess or be eligible for the extension certification as a Coordinator of Work-Based Learning Programs for Career Development.

Location of Position: Rossetti Education Center, Madison-Oneida BOCES, Verona, New York

Term of Employment: Full time - 10-month position

Salary: Contingent upon experience and education according to Teacher’s Contract.
