Job summary

Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES is seeking a School to Work Coordinator to manage work-based learning opportunities across two component districts, with a 0.40 FTE at Midlakes CSD and 0.60 FTE at North Rose Wolcott CSD. The role is a 10-month position with a salary range of $52,341–$61,805 commensurate with experience.

The successful candidate will coordinate job shadowing, internships, and placement visits, and will collaborate with school counselors to prepare students for careers or postsecondary

Qualifications

• Valid NYS teaching certification (grades 5-9, 7-12, or all grades) or school counselor certification.
• Coordinator of Work-Based Learning Programs extension issued by NYS Education Department.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-going job search activities and provide work-based learning opportunities (job shadowing, internships, short-term placements).
• Develop and conduct scheduled visits of all co-op work experiences regularly.
• Collaborate with school counselors to develop career exploration, planning, preparation and enhancement activities.
• Assist graduates in securing employment or post-secondary education related to their career interests.
