What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Research, process, and resolve customer and health care provider inquiries regarding benefits, insurance eligibility, and payments
- Relay detailed information to customers, managers, and clients
- Initiate status reports or service recovery letters to the inquirer
- Educate new and existing customers and team members on relevant policies and benefits
- Document details of each interaction in the tracking system to maintain organized records
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years of customer service experience in roles involving direct customer interaction
- Typing speed of 30+ words per minute
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in medical claims reimbursements or medical billing
- Familiarity with health insurance industry terminology
- Knowledge of health care policies and procedures related to inquiry processing
- Understanding of customer service techniques
