Job summary

Drax Group in LaSalle, LA is seeking a Woodyard Operator I to operate a log crane, chipper/debarker, and other heavy equipment at a wood pellet facility. You will also perform routine maintenance and handle admin duties to support Wood Yard operations.

The role requires at least 2 years of experience operating industrial equipment, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work well in a team or independently with minimal supervision. Basic computer literacy is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience operating industrial equipment.
• Ability to work well in a team or independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer literacy for emails and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment including log cranes, wheel loaders, knuckle booms, skid steers, and man lifts.
• Cross-train in applicable heavy equipment operations as needed.
• Diagnose problems and perform routine or preventive maintenance.
• Handle routine administrative functions and maintain inventory and production reports.
• Perform housekeeping duties to keep designated areas safe and clean.
