Georgia-Pacific LLC is hiring a Woodyard Operator for our Perdue Hill/Alabama River (ARC) facility. The role involves safely operating and performing preventative maintenance on equipment to keep the woodyard running smoothly. The position pays $24.61 per hour and requires 12-hour shifts with overtime as needed.

The rotation includes multiple 24-hour blocks across days and nights. The Woodyard Operator will contribute to safety, quality, and efficiency by monitoring materials, performing routine

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Process Operations or Electrical/Instrumentation OR two years of related work experience.
• Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as Loaders, Dozers, Cranes, Stackers, Reclaimers.
• Monitor chip and bark quality and flow patterns.
• Progress through skills level checklist with goal to advance within department.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks and troubleshooting on equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the Woodyard area.
• Strictly follow safety rules and wear required PPE.
• Attend and complete mandatory trainings.
