Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is hiring a Fiberline Operator for our Perdue Hill, AL ARC facility. The role operates pulping and bleaching equipment to meet production and quality goals on 12-hour rotating shifts with overtime as needed.

Salary is $25.34 per hour; rotation includes day and night blocks with varying days off and shift times. You will work to advance through skills levels and complete mandatory trainings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Process Operations or Electrical/Instrumentation or 2+ years in manufacturing.
• Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device.

Responsibilities

• Monitor process variables to maintain efficient operations and meet goals.
• Progress through skills level checklist toward Daily Operating Center position.
• Perform equipment cleanup, basic care, minor maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Load/unload railcars and tanker trucks for hazardous materials.
• Follow safety rules and wear required safety equipment.
• Attend and complete mandatory trainings.
