Job description

Description

Woodwork Technician II- Production & Assembly

Location: HCo 2.0 Facility

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $22-$30/per hour, based on experience

The Opportunity

This is the seat that builds the product. As a Woodwork Technician II at HCo, you turn machined parts into finished, install-ready cabinetry — drawer boxes, cabinet cases, doors, hardware, and the fit and finish that decides whether a job ships clean. You are a proven assembler: past the learning curve, fast and precise, able to read a cut list and a shop drawing on your own, and comfortable running more than one station. You move where the line needs you and you set the pace and the standard for the techs around you.

HCo is a custom cabinet and architectural millwork manufacturer building the future of American manufacturing — our standard is simple: More than they Expect. This is a real seat at that table.

What You'll Do

  • Assemble drawer boxes, cabinet boxes and cases, and doors — square, to spec, and to the HCo fit-and-finish standard.
  • Install hardware and mount doors, drawers, shelves, and components to casework — aligned and functional the first time.
  • Run the machine operations that feed assembly (Hoffmann, Gannomat, Tiger, and similar) safely and accurately.
  • Own your fit and finish: inspect your own work and pass only ship-ready product.
  • Cross-train across cells and serve as a redundant operator so the line holds its rate.
  • Keep your station clean and safe, and set the pace and standard for newer techs.

What You Bring

  • Proven hands-on experience in cabinet or millwork assembly, woodworking, furniture, or comparable manufacturing.
  • Able to read and work from cut lists, shop drawings, and job tickets without close supervision.
  • Proficient with pneumatic and hand tools and the setup of production machines.
  • Precision and speed together — you hold tolerance while keeping pace on a line.
  • Reliable, self-directed, detail-driven, with a first-time-right mindset.
  • Able to run more than one station and move where the line needs you.

Essential Functions — Physical & On-Site Requirements

This is a hands-on floor role. The following are fundamental to performing the job — not general fitness standards. If you have questions about your ability to meet any of these, reach out; we’re glad to talk it through.

  • Stand, walk, bend, reach, and crouch continuously across the production floor for full shift durations (10-hour shifts on day lines).
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs — cabinet cases, panels, and hardware — and team-lift larger casework.
  • Perform repetitive fine-motor assembly — clamping, fastening, and aligning hardware — requiring hand dexterity and close-focus vision.
  • Operate pneumatic tools and production machines (Hoffmann, Gannomat, Tiger, saws) following machine-guarding and lockout/tagout protocols.
  • Work safely around wood dust, adhesives, and moving equipment using required PPE.
  • Be physically present on-site for all scheduled shifts — this work cannot be performed remotely.

Nice to Have

  • Case clamps and dowel inserters (Gannomat), Hoffmann dovetail routing, or comparable equipment.
  • Frameless (European) casework and 32mm system construction.
  • Production or job-tracking software (INNERGY or similar).
  • Experience mentoring or setting pace for newer assemblers.

Why HCo

We live by our DRIVE values — we push to get better, make each other's work easier, own our outcomes, move with urgency, and stay humble. You'll get hands-on work, real ownership, room to grow, and a team that holds a high standard and has each other's backs.

Compensation & Benefits

$22-$30/hour, based on experience. Four-day work week (Monday–Thursday, 10-hour shifts; Fridays off) on day lines, plus a full benefits package —

  • medical, dental, and vision
  • life insurance and short-term disability
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) with company contribution
  • paid vacation and holidays

Real advancement opportunity as HCo grows.
