My Florida Families in Florida is seeking a Vocational Instructor II OPS to work in the Recovery Services Unit. The role involves coaching participants, delivering skilled instruction in wood shop settings, and coordinating task assignments with a focus on outcome-driven programs.

You will transport participants to sites, monitor progress, and help develop reports and budgets while ensuring adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent with two years of experience in the occupational area being taught.
• College education from an accredited institution or vocational/technical training can substitute for each year of required experience at the rate of 30 semester/45 quarter or 720 classroom hours.
• Preference given to applicants with experience in supported employment and vocational skill training programs.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a job coach and provides skilled instructional work in planning, organizing and conducting a Vocational Work Program, primarily in wood working.
• Provide instruction, supervision, intervention, skills training and feedback to participants.
• Transport participants to work sites using a vehicle or golf cart.
• Provide specific job instruction to individuals in the program.
• Conduct wage and hour evaluations in line with labor standards.
• Collect attendance, task and work skill data for reporting.
• Assist in development of task analysis and vocational reports.
