Job summary

Rockler in Kennesaw, GA is seeking a part-time sales associate to greet customers, explain and demonstrate woodworking supplies, and ring sales at the POS. When not assisting customers, you will keep the sales floor tidy and well stocked.

You will also handle refunds, assist with merchandising, and refer customers to other Rockler resources to ensure a seamless shopping experience. This role emphasizes teamwork and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of woodworking and hand tools required.
• Previous retail sales experience desirable.
• Ability to understand customers’ requests and respond appropriately.
• Ability to authorize returns/refunds when appropriate.
• Extremely strong service orientation to maximize customer satisfaction.
• Team player, outgoing and congenial.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the store and acknowledge them promptly.
• Handle retail sales by answering product questions and ringing sales on the POS.
• Emphasize the Total solution by suggesting related items for projects.
• Maintain and merchandise the sales floor for neat, stocked displays.
• Process refunds and complete necessary documentation.
• Refer customers to other sources when items are unavailable to build goodwill.
• Assist with unloading trucks, pricing, and other duties as assigned.
• Attendance is essential; be present for scheduled shifts.
