Job summary

Rockler is hiring a part-time Retail Sales Associate for our Denver, Colorado store. The role centers on attentive customer service, explaining and selling woodworking supplies and tools, and maintaining a neat sales floor.

You will help customers with product questions, demonstrate use, and emphasize the Total solution approach by suggesting related items. Prior retail experience is a plus, and the position requires the ability to stand long hours and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of woodworking and hand tools.
• Retail sales experience is desirable.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the store and acknowledge them promptly.
• Explain, demonstrate, and sell woodworking supplies and tools.
• Apply the Total solution approach by suggesting related products/services.
• Maintain neat, stocked, and well-displayed merchandise on the floor.
• Handle refunds and complete required documentation.
• Refer customers to other sources when items are unavailable to build goodwill.
• Assist with unloading trucks, pricing, and merchandising as needed.
• Attendance is essential; be present for scheduled shifts.
