Job summary

The New School invites applications for a Woodwind Area, Student Assistant position within the Woodwinds Area of the College of Performing Arts. The role supports rehearsals, scheduling, and events, reporting to the Program and Administration Manager, Mannes School of Music.

Open to students with Federal Work Study and those without. On-campus work, ~1–2 hours per week, at $17.00 hourly. Prior admin experience preferred and ongoing Woodwinds studies recommended.

Qualifications

• Current student in the Woodwinds area (BM, MM, or PDPL in orchestral instruments, with a concentration in flute, oboe, clarinet, or bassoon).
• Previous administrative experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with rehearsals and scheduling of Woodwind area activities.
• Liaise and coordinate with the College of Performing Arts Production Office and Library as needed.
• Assist in Master Class coordination and promotion
• Assist with Departmental activities in coordination with Co-Chairs and as assigned by the Program & Administration Manager.
• Additional duties as assigned.
